FUN FACT: Carpenter hired Tommy Lee Wallace as production designer and art director. Wallace created the trademark mask for the character Michael Myers, worn and portrayed by Nick Castle as "The Shape", throughout the film from a Captain Kirk mask purchased for $1.98 from a costume shop on Hollywood Boulevard.
